Liv's Tips on Getting Better Sleep
Preparing your bedroom
- Turn of all electronics (phones, t.v's, radio etc.)
- Cool down your room
- Turn off all lights
- Adjust your pillows
- Reduce loud noise
- Make sure that your bed is comfortable
Preparing yourself
- Read a book
- Have a warm drink about 30 minutes before you go to bed
- Wear comfy pyjamas
- Have a hot bath or shower
- Eat dinner earlier
- Avoid caffeine
- Do some stretching/yoga
Changing your actions throughout the day
- Don't nap during the day
- exercise a lot to burn off energy
Getting to sleep
- Count sheep
- Try to stay awake (I must not fall asleep, I must not fall asleep)
- Squeeze and then relax
- Breathe slowly
